Mission Statement

Our Mission Is To Insure The Remembrance Of The Holocaust.

The Holocaust‚ the greatest tragedy of our modern world, must never be forgotten. If it is‚ we risk history repeating itself and once again‚ destroying innocent lives because of prejudice‚ ignorance and intolerance. Many of today’s Holocaust survivors dedicate their lives to telling their stories of the Holocaust to a younger generation in
hopes that it will be remembered.

But these survivors are few in number and even fewer with each passing year.

What can be done to insure that the stories passed on by these survivors will long be remembered? What token can we provide to these young people to help them remember the man or woman they met who endured what no human being should ever have to go through? Answering these questions and acting accordingly‚ is the role of the Zachor Holocaust Remembrance Foundation.

Our initial project is to provide these survivors/speakers with a token to give each person listening to their presentations. That token is a small pin of the Hebrew word "ZACHOR"‚ remember. The pin is similar to one sent by the US Holocaust Museum to survivor organizations around the country and handed out to survivors.

It is our opinion that the survivors do not need a pin to remind them of the Holocaust. It is the generations of tomorrow who need the pins and need to be reminded so that the Holocaust is never forgotten and never repeated.

Certainly there will be more for us to do to insure the memory of this darkest period in our history. But for now‚ our goal is to provide every Holocaust speaker/survivor with this small memento to give out to their audiences‚ as a tangible reminder of what they
have heard and learned.
